MEET the artist: erin albohn
Erin is the wife of Captain Kevin Albohn, owner of Blue Line Charters. She, like Captain Kevin, has a love for the outdoors and the water. Spending countless hours on the water from the time they started dating. From catching sunnies in the lake to mako sharks offshore, she has literally done it all.
Today, Erin's time has gone from chasing fish to chasing around their 4 children, 3 dogs and animals on their small farm at their Connecticut home.
Writing and art has been a passion of hers since she was young. With a change in her priorities at home she found a new way to connect with the water - gyotaku! Erin strives to keep the traditions of the Japanese artworks using only imported water based inks and rice paper. She intentionally keeps the traditional style of the print and does not make it so much like a drawing. Only adding some accent color if the client wishes.
Contact her with any questions and let her help you cherish your catch forever!
