Captain Kevin Albohn
Captain Kevin Albohn has been a fisherman since he was very young and did his first offshore tuna trip at 13 years old. He started working in the marine industry early on as a mechanic at a local marina, while pursuing his college degree(s). Fast forward a few years and he had received his captains license while still running his and other boats recreationally all over the Northeast. He even had the opportunity to be featured on the first season of “Shark Hunters” which was on a weekly evening slot on NBC Sports.
After years of learning traditional trolling tactics offshore, his eyes were opened to the jig and pop tuna game with local pioneers in the style of tuna fishing several years ago. Capt. Kevin became immediately addicted. Several trips and years later combined his knowledge of the area and marine safety, led to the opportunity to show his stuff as a mate with one of his mentors. This ultimately led to him taking clients and starting Blue Line Charters.
With over 30 years experience on the water, the last 20 have been spent as more than a serious fisherman. "Tuna Junkie" as some would call it. More than just a weekend warrior. Every fishable day you make a run for whatever species you can target and never satisfied unless you're catching more than everyone else. To this day that intensity is still there and he strives to be the best on the water for his clients, and they can attest to that.
Captain Kevin is a law enforcement veteran where he had the opportunity to spend several years in the marine division He was trained in tactical boating operations, water rescue and several other marine safety courses. He is also a trained public safety scuba diver. He is married with four children and an outdoors enthusiast. Besides fishing with the rod and reel he is an avid spear fisherman, deer and waterfowl hunter.
You can find Captain Kevin in the winter months at several shows and seminars throughout the Northeast.
